Jon Puro
Director of Research Informatics and Analytics, and Director of Data Governance
Mr. Puro’s primary expertise is the design, use and deployment of information systems for the collection and dissemination of data and reports to the consumers of healthcare information, specializing in medical informatics, analysis and reporting, database modeling and data warehouse architecture. Throughout his professional career, he has held a variety of information technology roles such as analyst, database administrator, and manager in several healthcare settings in addition to OCHIN, including Multnomah County, CareOregon, and Kaiser Permanente. He has served as co-chair of the National Community Health Applied Research Network Data Committee and as the co-chair of the North American Primary Care Research Group (NAPCRG) HIT committee. For the PCORI PCORnet project, he serves as the PI and Data Lead for the ADVANCE Clinical Research Network, as co-chair of the PCORnet Data Workgroup, and as a member of the Executive Management Team. He also serves as the Director of Research Informatics and Analytics and as Director of Data Governance for OCHIN. Jon was also recently elected to serve a three-year term on the Epic Systems Cosmos Governing Council. Finally, Jon now serves as PI of the Data and Research Core for the NIH-funded AIM-AHEAD machine learning study.
