March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. OCHIN offers a suite of resources to help members increase screening rates, prevent patients from falling through the cracks, and save lives.

Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in the U.S. for both men and women. However, screening is an effective preventive measure. If signs of pre-cancer are found during screening, colorectal cancer can be completely prevented. More than a third of adults over the age of 50 are not screened appropriately. Many of the vulnerable patient populations OCHIN members serve are at elevated risk for colorectal cancer.
